360 Music was founded in 2016 by Jim Unwin and Simon Cox, with the aim of providing a complete service for musicians wishing to promote their work. Their collective experience in a variety of guises within the music industry enables them to offer numerous professional services, including audio and video production, web design, publishing and artist management. They can also advise and provide contacts for virtually any other aspect of a project that may be required.

Meet the Team

Jim Unwin
Jim UnwinDirector; Audio Production
Jim Unwin works internationally as a producer, engineer and editor. He has a BMus from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff, and an MA from the world-renowned course in Audio Production at the University of Westminster in London.

Jim has experience of working in all genres, from jazz trio to full-scale opera. Recent projects include production for Iwan Rheon’s (Game of Thrones) Dinard album for Touch Tones Publishing and a series of discs by Septura for NAXOS.

He has also recorded: Welsh National Opera (WNO) under Lothar Koenigs; the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra under Andris Nelsons; the Chinese soprano He Hui; the international concert pianist Llyr Williams; London’s premier brass party band Old Dirty Brasstards.

Jim is also a songwriter/composer/sound designer. Companies/broadcasters that have used his work include the BBC, Sky and Disney.

Jim is currently working with composer Pete M. Wyer to create an immersive sound installation that retells H. P. Lovecraft’s short story ‘The Music of Erich Zann’. This is due to premier in New York later in 2017. 

Simon Cox
Simon CoxDirector; Websites; Publishing
Simon is founder and artistic director of Septura, a brass septet which brings together London’s leading players to redefine the brass ensemble as a serious artistic medium. The group is undertaking a major 10-disc recording series for Naxos, with four having been released so far to unanimous critical acclaim. He has recently completed a PhD at the Royal Academy of Music which laid the artistic foundations for the project.

As a professional trumpeter, Simon freelances regularly with many of the UK’s leading orchestras. He currently holds the position of principal trumpet in Aurora Orchestra, having been associate principal of the Helsinki Philharmonic from 2008 – 2011.

He is also founder-director of Resonata Music, a publisher of sheet music for brass instruments based in London.
