360 Music was founded in 2016 by Jim Unwin and Simon Cox, with the aim of providing a complete service for musicians wishing to promote their work. Their collective experience in a variety of guises within the music industry enables them to offer numerous professional services, including audio and video production, web design, publishing and artist management. They can also advise and provide contacts for virtually any other aspect of a project that may be required.

Jim Unwin

Jim Unwin works internationally as a producer, engineer and editor. Specialising in the classical genre he has worked with some of the world’s leading artists, composers and organisations. These include: Elin Manahan Thomas, Brodsky Quartet, Septura, Tasmin Little, Michael Collins, Huw Morgan (Principal Trumpet, Sinfonieorchester Basel), Matthew Gee (Principal Trombone, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra), David Childs, Welsh National Opera, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Robert Keeley, John Rutter and The Aquinas Trio. Other recent production highlights include a 72 speaker sound installation at Descanso Gardens (Los Angeles, US) with the composer Peter Wyer and collaborating with the welsh actor Iwan Rheon (Game of Thrones) on his solo album ‘Dinard’.

Jim is also a songwriter/composer/sound designer. Companies/broadcasters that have used his work include the BBC, Sky and Disney.

He has a BMus from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff (specialising in Clarinet performance), and an MA from the world-renowned course in Audio Production at the University of Westminster in London.

Simon Cox

Simon is founder and artistic director of Septura, a brass septet which brings together London’s leading players to redefine the brass ensemble as a serious artistic medium. The group is undertaking a major 10-disc recording series for Naxos, with four having been released so far to unanimous critical acclaim. He has recently completed a PhD at the Royal Academy of Music which laid the artistic foundations for the project.

As a professional trumpeter, Simon freelances regularly with many of the UK’s leading orchestras. He currently holds the position of principal trumpet in Aurora Orchestra, having been associate principal of the Helsinki Philharmonic from 2008 – 2011.

He is also founder-director of Resonata Music, a publisher of sheet music for brass instruments based in London.
